Japanese Garden Wedding Long Beach California at CSULB

Who gives this beautiful bride to be married to this man? I do. Thank you sir. You may be seated please. We are gathered here today to witness and to celebrate the joining of Dionna and Cory in holy matrimony. Dionna and Cory have brought to this moment the fullness of their hearts as a treasure to share with each other in a mutual bond that we all know as marriage… Dionna, do you take Cory to be your wedded husband? To live together in marriage? Do you promise to love him? To comfort him? To honor and keep him? For better or for worse? For richer or for poorer? In sickness and in health? And forsaking all others to be faithful only to him for as long as you both shall live? I do. And may I please have the rings? The giving and receiving of rings symbolizes you love for one another, your eternal love which knows no end. And so may these rings always be blessed as symbols of your unity. And Cory, as you place this ring on Dionna’s finger will you please repeat… Today this relationship will be symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand. One representing you, Dionna, all that you were, all that you are, and all that you ever will be. And the other representing you, Cory, all that you were, all that you are, and all that you ever will be. And as those two containers of sand are poured together into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist. But they’ll be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated again into their individual containers, so will your marriage and your life be. Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold for each of you will bring warmth to the other. And there’s no more loneliness. for each of you will be companion to the other. And so it is. By the powers vested in me by the laws of the state of California, it is my great honor to pronounce that you are husband and wife. You may seal your vows with a kiss. Ladies and gentlemen, may I be the first to introduce Cory and Dionna as husband and wife.
