Welcome to beautiful Nice, France 🇫🇷 We’re on PLACE MASSENA
in front of the Fountain of the Sun with five bronze sculptures in the basin
and a marble Apollo in the centre It’s the late morning on a hot, sunny Sunday
in July 2019 with the temperature currently 30°C/86°F RUE ALEXANDRE MARI Papeterie Rontani office supplies shop RUE DE L’HÔTEL DE VILLE Hôtel de Ville de Nice built in 1730, features a Neoclassical
exterior and Art-Deco inside and was used successively as a seminary
for the Diocese, a hospital and a barracks and since 1860, it has been the Town Hall RUE SAINT-FRANÇOIS DE PAULE Church of St Francis de Paola of Nice Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur is a landmark 1885 performing arts venue with an opulent interior showcasing opera,
ballet and music COURS SALEYA Cours Saleya Flower Market (heading east) is a long-running outdoor market
featuring fresh cut flowers as well as local produce and food products PLACE CHARLES FÉLIX Palais Caïs de Pierlas this stunning yellow building
was built in 1782 it was once owned by a local family who
were prominent since the 13th century and the famous painter Henri Matisse
lived on the third floor for several years Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity
and the Shroud of Nice belongs to the order of the Red Penitents
of Nice (Penitents Rouges) who formed in 1824, though the chapel was
build much earlier between 1657 and 1660 The Centre du Patrimoine or
the Heritage centre (building to left) is a great place to learn about the
history of Nice and the Provence region RUE DES PONCHETTES Castle Lifts (Ascenseur du Château)
is an Art Deco-style elevator that gives visitors a lift to
